About VAF · Founded 2011

We build what
crews need.

VAF is a woman-owned family business. We listen to line crews, then build and test the hardware they need.

How VAF began

VAF started alongside line crews.

We began as a subcontractor for a Southern California power company. Crews showed us problems that common hardware had not solved.

One was the need to replace corroded guy-wire anchors. VAF made a solid stainless-steel anchor with a round base plate and more bearing surface. Utilities adopted it as a standard. We still work this way: listen, build, and test.
